This is the best soup ever! I use to eat it when I go to the Dixie Stampede, but found out it had flour in it. Now I can have the gluten free soup . If you are gluten free just substitute the flour with gluten free flour or use corn starch.
Thank you Dixie Stampede for sharing this recipe!

I don’t cook much so these questions may not come as a surprise to you- what does the recipe mean when it refers to “finely chopped vegetable table” what vegetable is it referring to add?

And should you use dark or light corn syrup?

Me & my hubby went to pigeon forge in july of 2014 to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and decided to do the dixie stampede dinner show. I am so glad we did because i had the best soup ever…. I am going to try making it from scratch but not eat it as a soup but use it as a gravy. I know it will be awesome. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

I love the show & the food but the soup is the best. I got mad at my husband the last time we went because he ate his soup & I didn’t get it this time. Lol

I saw someone talking about this online and recently made it. It is delicious! I found it better after a day or two of sitting in the fridge. I used about a half onion and added the onion and garlic powder to taste. I also used homemade chicken stock and Half.and Half . My stock was not salty nor was my butter, so I added it to taste as well . I think this is a great soup base for other creamy soups like potato. I threw in a can of diced potatoes as well as diced veggies, similar to Veg-All. Quick and simple !
