We will be in the Pigeon Forge area for July 4th in 2013. I was wondering if there was a running race during that week/weekend. Thanks!

      Hi Rachael,

We’re not aware of a race anytime near the 4th of July, but there is the Pigeon Forge Midnight 8K Road Race on August 3rd, which is a great run!

Do you know if you can see the firework display from surrounding hotels, such as the Quality Inn on Dollywood Lane? We have three small children, one of which is an infant, and I don’t want to be too close to scare him, like in the park, but would like the others to see, possibly from a distance. Thanks!

That is a great place to see the fireworks……They actually don’t do them at the park anymore, but where they do the display is on a hillside somewhere behind McDonalds area, so almost anywhere along the parkway is great…… They have many activities throughout the day at Patriot Park and the Gatlin Brothers is usually the last performance before the fireworks starts…… it is well worth it……

We are going to be staying at oak tree lodge and have an infant , so we may not be able to stay long enough for the fireworks. Will we be able to see them from our hotel?

  4. Suzie says

We are staying in a townhouse on Meriwether Way, will we be able to see the fireworks from that location (my husband has one leg in a cast & will be unable to go to the park)?
