When Will Dollywood Open in 2020?
One of the most-asked questions about the coronavirus COVID-19 related closures in the Smoky Mountains is “when will Dollywood reopen in 2020?” Dollywood communicates official updates on their website as well as their facebook page.
When will Dollywood reopen?
It has been officially announced that Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country will reopen on June 15th to passholders and then June 17th to all guests! They have created a special page for this announcement along with some information and guidelines, which you can see at https://www.dollywood.com/PlaySafe .
Some highlights from their guidelines are:
- Daily capacity will be limited – Season Passholder Reservations are required and date-based tickets will be available for general admission.
- Face masks or face coverings are required for all visitors ages 3 and up, with some exceptions. Some of the exceptions where masks are not required are while eating, on water park attractions or select coasters at Dollywood. For a full list of exceptions please visit their FAQ Page.
- Temperature screenings will be taken prior to entry.
- Attraction and dining capacities will be limited to allow guests to have more space to move around during their visit.
- Physical distancing measures have been put in place including physically distanced queues, marked barriers and social distancing reminders.
- Additional sanitation measures have been implemented. This includes high touch point areas being cleaned more frequently and providing additional hand sanitizing locations.

Sure hope our season passes are pro rated next year and not full price
We wanted to visit Dollywood to see the flower show, initially set to end June 14. Is this even there now?? If they open on June 1, can we see the flower show after that??
Visitors need to know ahead of time to be able to make plans. If it opens in June most need to ask off work and book hotels.
Planning a trip there the June 23rd.
I have passes that expire this year, will them still b excepted for next summer if they don’t own this summer?

Most dinner shows that I called said May 23. They will have each party seated at least 6 ft apart.
We are season pass holders. We received an email from Dollywood saying that they are extending the expiration date to June 1, 2021.
I bought season passes for both parks an even if it does open in June the crowds to both will be so overwhelming and it will make it difficult get enjoyment from our passes an the risks what will there steps be to help protect the elderly or pre existing health conditions due to the crowds.
I hope Dollywood stays opened longer

I have attended Dollywood every year for the past eighteen years and I enjoy the shows immensely.
I would not miss the opportunity to be at Dollywood when the Gospel Fest is there.
Disappointed we have already booked our rooms that are not refundable just to take kids to Dollywood, but do understand the closing for everyone’s safty.
I renewed my gold pass for 2020 and a season pass for my husband. We always come down in in September for Shades of the Past. They say if they don’t open they would be good for 2021 till June. I don’t have vacation and we’re from New Jersey

I will NOT visit Dollywood until this stupid mask requirement is finally over with….I love Dollywood but is ridiculous to wear a mask OUTSIDE in the open air……I guess that sneaky lil COVID virus just hangs around amusement parks, churches, hair saloons and restaurants, but NOT Walmart, Kroger, Lowe’s, Target, shopping malls..etc….things need to get back to normal…..
Do you know if the celabraters conference is going to still be held in October since the virus is still going on and there is so many people from every where coming,how are we going to sit 6ft apart
