What to Expect
The Pigeon Forge Racing Coaster is unlike other mountain coasters in town. This is because it is the first true side-by-side racing mountain coaster in the United States. The track consists of many thrilling elements, such as 3 full 360-degree spirals and an 80-foot double helix. There are also some classic dips and drops along the way, and like most mountain coaster rides, you can use the handbrake to control your speed. While it is fun riding during the day, at night the track is lit up, which makes the ride even more fun! You’ll also be glad to know that the cars have rain shields to keep visitors dry in the event of an unexpected shower.
Hold a friendly competition with your travel group, and keep your eye on the leaderboard and see if you can go fast enough around the track to come in first place. Riders will be able to reach speeds of up to 30 miles per hour! Once you experience it for yourself, you’ll understand pretty quickly why many are calling it the best mountain coaster in the Smokies!
